Buying specialist Lynx Purchasing always asks its suppliers to move quickly when it comes to meeting the needs of caterers, but the need for speed was even greater at the 2016 Lynx Purchasing Suppliers Day.
Representatives of key suppliers met the Lynx team at the Leeds circuit of TeamSport, one of the UK’s leading indoor go-karting operators and a Lynx Purchasing customer. After an update on the continued growth of Lynx and the next phase of its marketing strategy, everyone got down to the serious business of go-karting.
Rachel Dobson, managing director of Lynx Purchasing, said: “We hadn’t told our guests in advance what the activity for the Suppliers Day would be, so there was plenty of excitement when they were delivered by taxi to the TeamSport circuit.
“Going the extra mile on behalf of customers is something we all do every day, but we rarely do it so quickly!”
After a series of time trials whittled down the competitors, the top three places went to Luke Ayton of fresh produce supplier
Reynolds, along with Dave Catherall and Matt Thompkins of Lynx.
Companies taking part in the 2016 Lynx Purchasing Suppliers Day included Brakes, Woodward Foodservice, Fairfax Meadow, Reynolds, Lockharts and Complete Office Solutions
